Hans Rosling 200 years in 4 minutes

Today in Human Geo we watched this video by this swedan man named Hans Rosling. He talked about 200 years ago and how our economy has changed in a good way and a little in a bad way. He talked about how 200 years ago most of the world was down on the graph at poor and sick and as the years progressed so did some of the countries. United Kingdom was kind of like the 1st ones to make the industrial revolution a thing. When they came up with machines to do things that would take people longer, it made things go faster and it was made products be finished quicker and the more products that were made and sold the more money it would be for that country. As the years progressed so did our economy and now China, India and the United States are one of the tops countries that are in the top of the graph.

Population Pyramids 10/30/19

In Human Geo we talked more about population pyramids and we looked and watch the ted talk video about population pyramids. Some of the terms we learned in that class when Mr. Schick was talking about it was like: Industrial Revolution Demographic Transition pre-reproductive ages post- reproductive ages pre- industrial  industrial post-industrial

Population and settlement 10/29/19

The last day of the first quarter is Friday. We have been reviewing and going over more about population and settlement. We talked and started looking at population pyramids and started learning a little of that.

Going over what might be on the test

Today in Human Geo we went over how the test was going to work and what might be on the test. For the test we have 20 minutes to look up the answers on cia.gov and all we have to do is write the numbers and we don't have to write anything else on it just the numbers for that part of the test. Then we went over more about population and settlement and since the test is tomorrow, Mr. Schick made sure that we understood this stuff and that we were ready for the test. But we went over our notes that we did a few days ago and made sure that we understand it all and what to go over and what might be on the test and what might not be on the test. He even did examples for the cia.gov and we looked up Mexico, Afghanistan and Canada.

Population and Settlement

Today in Human Geo we went over about population and settlement more. Mr. Schick went over the stuff that we did the other day, when we were learning about cia.gov and answers the questions and trying to find the answers using that website. We went over that today and Mr. Schick talked about some of the stuff on it and if we didn't understand he would talk about it more until we understood it, but there wasn't too many people confused. We didn't finish going over it so we will probably go over the rest of it tomorrow.

In Human Geo we talked about rate and the rate of birth and death. We also talked about population growth and immigration and emigration rate, total fertility rate, unemployment rate. We just talked about that and Mr. Schick made sure we understood it and he tried to talk about it in a way that we would be able to understand.
Today in Human Geo we talked about a little bit more on population and settlement. We mainly talked about that the rest of the period because we asked questions and stuff so that we were able to understand it. There were some parts that Mr. Schick had to go into further detail about because it was hard to understand but I kind of understand it.

Population and Settlement

Today in Human Geo near the end of the class we talked about population and settlement. In the beginning of the class there were some people who didn't take the test because they had left early, so today they all took the test and then the other half of the class we were looking at the power point about population and settlement. After everyone was done the we talked about population and settlement with the whole class.

Test

Today we had a test in Human Geo and I think I did really bad on it. I completely forgot about it on the weekend so I didn't study and I didn't have an off mod today so I didn't study at all but I tried to remember what Mr. Schick was talking about when we had his class. I remembered some of it and some of the questions were like the ones from the pop quiz and I got an 9/10 on the pop quiz so hopefully I remembered those correctly and got them correct cause I need all the points I can get right now. The test was the only thing we were doing today so I'm glad cause then it gives us time to do other work for another class or finish homework.

Pop Quiz

Today in Human Geography we introduced our shadows (Jaquann's shadow, Kyle and my shadow, Natalie) then we talked about our test and went over some questions we did on the blog yesterday. Then Mr. Schick surprised us with a pop quiz and I didn't think I was going to know anything but then it wasn't that bad and I think that I did good. I think I got over half of them right! Then when we went over them I was actually surprised with how many I got right. Just now Mr. Schick rang the bell and just told the class that I got a 9/10!!!

Today in Human Geography we had a test on maps. We had to study and learn on Central America and South America. I feel like I did a really good job because when I had extra time after my biology test we were allowed to work on something quietly and I started to study the countries. I was a little nervous before the test and before I studied but it was actually quite easy and I feel like I got like an 90% or higher on it. I thought Mr. Schick was crazy on making us study these and making us taking a test but it was really easy and with some studying I feel really good about it.
