Presentations

Today in Human Geo we were presenting our presentations about our countries. I feel like I did ok, but I also feel like I could have done a lot better. I felt like I was reading off of the board too much and I think I didn't really make eye contact with the audience. I also think I should have written a couple of notes on an index card to help me refresh my memory if I forgot to mention something. Next time we present I'm going to make sure that I write a couple notes and not read from the board and make eye contact with audience.

Difference between maps (The United States, The Word and Peters World Map)

In Human Geography today, Mr. Schick said that today was going to be a catch-up day and that we spend the class just catching up our work from his class and if we are done doing everything in his class we can work on other things for other classes. Map A was The United States and it had a scale on it and different colors to see the different states and it showed routes, rivers and lakes. It was labeled with the state, some cities and some capitals. The map was also by the National Geography. Map B was The World map and it had a scale and a legend and it also had a compass. Reflection of the Presentation

Today in Human Geo Mr. Schick gave us this mod as a free period. I feel like I did ok on the on the presentation. But I feel like I could have done better than I did. I was looking at the board too much when I was presenting and I felt that I was reading off the board too much. I think next time I should bring a index card or a stickie note with me, with some notes and bullets on them so I know what I need to say and if I forgot something. But on my actual slide that I made I feel like I did a good job and I did good on the slide.

Going over what might be on the test

Today in Human Geo we went over how the test was going to work and what might be on the test. For the test we have 20 minutes to look up the answers on cia.gov and all we have to do is write the numbers and we don't have to write anything else on it just the numbers for that part of the test. Then we went over more about population and settlement and since the test is tomorrow, Mr. Schick made sure that we understood this stuff and that we were ready for the test. But we went over our notes that we did a few days ago and made sure that we understand it all and what to go over and what might be on the test and what might not be on the test. He even did examples for the cia.gov and we looked up Mexico, Afghanistan and Canada.
